The Challenge:

Being part of an internal service provider team for Enterprise Services your work will affect all employees within Avira, enabling the company´s success.
Starting on day one you will familiarize yourself with the people, processes, and systems that run Avira´s infrastructure to enable all Client/Workplace services.
Within one month you understand the architecture of the various systems so that you can contribute your first deployments and already minor changes for improvement.
After the first three months, you already contribute to bigger projects that will help to enable modern workplace-management.
Within one year you can already look back at successful initiatives you drove together with your team.

The Team:

You will be joining the Infrastructure Services Unit as part of the cross-functional Enterprise Services team, delivering best-in-class IT Services to enable Avira´s success.
You constantly interact with an international team of engineers located in Germany and Romania within the department, supporting your internal customers at all subsidiaries worldwide.

What you will do:

As a System Administrator for Client Management/Workplace services you will be responsible to deploying, maintaining and extending the ecosystem that is necessary to provide modern workplace experience for Avira´s employees globally, supporting the dedicated Service Desk team as 2nd/3rd level counterpart.
Your broad range of expertise around client management in all of its kinds includes the following focus topics in order to be successful on the job:
  • Endpoint Management lifecycle & software deployment (Windows/MacOS)
  • Mobile Device Management (iOS)
  • Identity Management (Active Directory, Multi-Factor authentication)
  • Endpoint Security Management (Protection Services, Hardening, Encryption)
The following points will help you to fulfill your responsibilities:

  • 3+ years in support & administration of client management environments in mid-sized companies
  • Broad technical understanding (Operating Systems Windows and MacOS, Client Software Applications, Networking, etc.) and a desire to continuously learn more about technology
  • Experience in Systems Administration and public cloud services (Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, hands-on and passionate supporting other people
  • Team-player mentality & organizational skills
