Team Lead (m/f/x) IT Enterprise Services

The Challenge

As a Team Lead (m/f/x) of the Enterprise Services Team you will be responsible for ensuring the Unit´s mission to provide best-in-class IT Services to enable Avira´s success.

You will lead, inspire, coach and develop a cross-functional team of 6 Engineers and business analysts with the responsibility to provide Enterprise Services.

As a trusted advisor you have a clear understanding of business needs and ensure envision and goal setting for IT services to meet those needs. You have strong knowledge of leading teams delivering Enterprise Services in the areas of responsibility mentioned above including the ability to interact at various organizational levels. To be effective on the job you need to have a broad understanding of IT services in general, especially when operated in hybrid environments. Ideally you are already familiar working with Agile frameworks like Kanban and Scrum to be effective with your team addressing complex adaptive problems.

What you will do

Being an internal service provider to all Avira employees, the responsibilities of the Enterprise Services team includes:

  • Identity & SSO platform
  • Productivity platform (the toolbox for all employees, including Office365, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Communication tools)
  • Managed Client platform (Desktop, Mobile) across Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
  • Operations platform (ERP, HCM, DMS)
  • Enterprise business tools integrations
Your first year at Avira will look like this:

  • Starting day one you got familiar with the Unit´s mission to provide best-in-class IT services and infrastructure and identify your and your team`s role to enable the company`s success.
  • Within the first three months you developed relationship with your peers and embraced accountability for coordinating resources and processes to act as a product/service owner for the services of your team.
  • In addition, within the first half year you already identified key initiatives to drive development of your infrastructure services team followed by an action plan for implementation.
  • A year into your new role at Avira you can already look back and measure your success based on the increased effectiveness of your team proven by the results for service improvements.
