DevOps Engineer for Internet of Things

The Challenge

You are a wicked smart engineer with solid understanding of cloud computing, continuous deployment and never-settled in providing DevOps support to a team on a mission to provide A-class services to millions of users worldwide.

Once committed to the cause, you will manage and automate highly complex web systems that run in the cloud; our play happens pretty much on AWS, but we always love to leave options open.

Ultimately, the infrastructure you will architect and extend will help protecting people in the connected world.

The Team

We are pushing boundaries, driven by the purpose of building the most innovative IoT & Smart Home Security platform in the world. Experimentation, encouraging new ideas and sharing knowledge is our main strength.

Being part of the SafeThings team, you will collaborate with the development teams running key components, built atop diverse technology stacks. You will also act as a partner for the QA team, to make sure our deliverables and products make us proud.

You will report directly to the SafeThings Engineering Manager in Bucharest.

What you will do

As a DevOps engineer you will be responsible for the infrastructure design, creating and maintaining cloud architectures, migration of systems to the cloud, setting up CI/CD pipelines, automation and monitoring of applications and systems.

You will closely work with different development teams to make sure our systems and services are able to reliably serve millions of customers.

You will work in depth with Amazon Web Services to create and set up highly available and fault tolerant systems in the cloud. All of these systems will be administered, which implies the maintenance of servers, running performance tests, logging and monitoring.

You will get better at

  • Docker
  • Terraform
